We do not keep an ongoing wait list. To keep things simple, we will post upcoming litters on our Puppy Page (with the parents’ names and due date guess).
About a week before the due date, we will start accepting requests to join the wait list. Joining the wait list will reserve your spot in line to reserve a puppy from the current upcoming litters. The wait list is free. You will place your deposit later when you choose your puppy.
When the puppies are about 2-3 weeks old, we post a litter picture on the website. When the puppies are about 4 weeks old, we will post individual pictures of the puppies on the website, and then we’ll start at the top of the wait list and begin contacting people so they can choose their puppy. The first person on the list will have first pick of the litter(s), the second person will have second pick, etc.
The puppies’ personalities at 4 weeks old do not really indicate what their adult personality will be like. We socialize all the puppies, and they spend time with our children, but you will also have to continue the work when you bring the puppy home. How much you socialize them and spend time with them (and whether you vaccinate them – yes, vaccines can affect their personality!) can make a big difference in how they turn out.
We have seen some of the more reserved puppies become suddenly friendly and outgoing at about 7 weeks old, so we can’t make any guarantees about what your puppy’s personality will be like when he/she is older.
If you have having a hard time choosing your puppies based on pictures alone, feel free to ask for more pictures or a video of them!
Once all of the puppies have been chosen, we will let the waiting list know, and then that waiting list will end. We do not keep an ongoing wait list, however we can add you to our email list to be notified when we are expecting a new litter, and you can join the new wait list when the due date for the next litter is coming up.
